Dr. Richard Winter, DDS

I graduated from UCSF in 1975 and opened a family practice in San Jose where I treated patients for twenty-nine years before I opened a new office here in Elk Grove. Although I do “family” dentistry, during the last several years I have concentrated more on cosmetic treatment and creating beautiful smiles.

I have received advanced training in the diagnostic and treatment of TMJ dysfunction, muscle pain of the head and neck, and computerized electronic diagnostics. I have taken educational courses dealing with airway issues such as snoring and sleep apnea, and the development and treatment of poorly positioned teeth and jaws.

I believe I have become a very well rounded general dentist and that I have an unusually good understanding of the several factors that influence one’s ability to function well dentally, to be pain free (including many types of headaches), to have an attractive facial profile, and to have a beautiful smile.

Joan Winter

I have enjoyed working in both administrative and clinical positions in the dental field for the past ten years. My prior experience as a business owner has allowed me the opportunity to work closely with staff members in providing a caring and professional environment for our patients. I enjoy helping our family of patients understand their dental procedures and helping them maximize their dental benefits. My goal is to make sure each patient is confident in their choice to visit our dental office.

Cassie Carpenter

The newest member of our dental team is Cassie Carpenter. She comes to us after having served our country in the US Navy for four years. Her experience both as a leader in the military and her office work experience in Opthalmology make her a valuable asset to our practice. Her vivacious personality and her get it done attitude are welcome traits.

She enjoys spending time with her family, doing anything outdoors, and reading a good book.

Becky Miller, Dental Assistant / Marketing Director

Becky has enjoyed her position as a dental assistant for the past ten years. Also working now as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations is perfect for her vivacious personality. She enjoys working closely with staff and our family of patients to let others know about our office.

Becky is co-owner of “Elbow Grease” and delights in restoring “flea market finds.” She is mom of four, twin teens plus two more! Becky is likely to be the first to welcome you to our office. She brightens our busy office with her bubbly personality.

Raelene Winter, Insurance Specialist

Raelene’s attention to detail makes her an excellent choice as our insurance specialist. She has been a part of Dr. Winter’s team for the last four years. If you’re looking for someone to help you understand your insurance benefits, Raelene can help you with that as well as facilitate any problems that might arise with insurance claims.

Raelene also enjoys creating shabby chic furniture for her “Elbow Grease” business. She lives with her husband Norman and their two daughters, here in Elk Grove.

Mariana DeLaCueva Reyes, DA

Mariana is the newest addition to the team.  She graduated from San Joaquin Valley College, class of 2010.  She chose to work in the dental field because she enjoys working with and meeting new people.

In her free time, Mariana enjoys spending time with her family and friends.  She also likes to watch movies and go dancing.

 

Erin Chow, Hygienist

Erin received her degree in biological sciences from the university of California Santa Barbara in 2007. She decided to pursue a career in dental hygiene after college. She loves it! She enjoys educating patients about their oral health and making sure they feel comfortable in her care. She also keeps up with the latest oral hygiene aids and technologies.

Erin plays indoor and outdoor soccer on her free time. She also takes funny pictures of her dog Buster.
